Privacy Policy for our app

This text applies to the privacy of the phones and tablets where the Better Truckin’ application is installed.

Purpose of the application
The purpose of Better Truckin’ App is to be the user’s interface to Better Truckin’. The user will handle transport orders (including status of orders, pictures of damages, loading, documents) but also to communicate with back office personal. The user will be logged in using credentials provided by the organization to who they belong.

Location features in the app
Location is an essential feature in transport planning and improves user experience and increases the efficiency of the platform. The user will be asked to grant access to location when first using Better Truckin’ app. He or she can decline sharing the position and still use the application with limited functionality. Location is used for planning, quality evaluation and to improve processes.

Access to camera/photos
The app uses access to camera and/or photos to attach pictures of waybills, damaged cargo, loading, damaged trailers to the orders. It is an important part of digitalization of transports. The user will be asked to grant access to camera/photos when first using Better Truckin’ app. He or she can decline sharing the camera/photos and still use the application with limited functionality.

Data and logging
Rumblestrip is data processor and processes the data on behalf of the data controller. The data controller is the party that has an agreement with Rumblestrip. All data belongs to the data controller unless stated otherwise in agreement between data controller and Rumblestrip. Rumblestrip provides the data controller with the platform Better Truckin’ and cannot be held responsible for the data content.

Third Party
Rumblestrip will not transfer data from the app to third parties unless stated otherwise in agreement between data controller and Rumblestrip.
